Raisins are dried grapes that give a good taste to cakes of various kinds, they also give iron to our body. 100 g of raisins contains 2.4 mg of iron.

What ingredient do we need to prepare Raisin muffins?

we need:

  • 50 g of raisins
  • 120 ml rum or orange juice
  • 150 g margarine or butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 120 g  all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder


What procedures do we follow to prepare raisin muffins?


1. Put the raisins in a small bowl. Pour on rum or juice. Let stand at least for an hour or overnight.


2. Stir at room temperature cooking fat and sugar until porous. Add the eggs, one at a time. Stir vigorously between each.


3. Add the liquid from the raisins.


4. Mix flour, baking powder, and raisins. Stir everything into the batter.


5. Distribute the mixture in well-greased aluminum muffin tins.


Paper molds that do not need to be greased can also be used well.


6. Bake on the bottom seam at 200°C, for about 20 minutes. In a convection oven at 175 ° C, approx. 25 min. Do you use paper molds, the baking time will be slightly shorter.


Serving

. You may serve your muffins for breakfast or during tea time in the afternoon. 


How to conserve your muffins?

. The muffins stay juicy in a tightly closed jar at room temperature for 3–5 days. They are also excellent for freezing.
