Lamb Meat Biryani recipe


What are the ingredients for Lamb Biryani?


Ingredients:

  • 1 kilo of lamb chops
  • 3 cups of biryani rice
  • 3 tablespoons prepared ginger paste
  • 2 tablespoons of yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons chopped mint
  • 2 tablespoons green coriander, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons ghee
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 finely chopped onions
  • 2 hot green peppers
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 small cinnamon sticks
  • 6 cardamom pods
  • 1-star anise
  • 2 nutmeg
  • 6 cloves
  • 1 tablespoon dried coriander
  • 1 tablespoon ground fenugreek
  • 2 tablespoons of liquid milk
  • 1 teaspoon saffron
  • 2 tablespoons rose water
  • tablespoon cumin
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 Teaspoon black pepper grain

How to prepare lamb Biryani?


Procedures

1- Wash the rice and soak it in water for at least one hour.


2- In an electric mixer, put cinnamon, star anise, cardamom, cloves, cumin, fenugreek, dried coriander, black pepper, and nutmeg and grind until it becomes a powder.


3- Wash the meat well and drain it.


4- In a bowl, put the yogurt, coriander, mint, salt, ginger paste, and cumin and mix them well together, then dip the meat in them until they mix well and cover the pieces of meat with this mixture well.


5- In a pressure cooker on medium heat, put the ghee, oil, and bay leaf, drop the onions and fry until golden.


6- Add hot pepper and fry, add the meat with sauce, add a cup of water and close the pressure cooker.


7- When the pressure cooker starts beeping, reduce the temperature and leave it for about 15 minutes.


8- Open the pressure cooker after making sure that it has cooled down 


9- We add the drained rice to the meat and add 3 cups of boiling water.


10- Add all the spices to the ingredients.


11- When the water boils, close the pressure cooker lid well.


12- When the pressure cooker starts beeping, reduce the temperature and leave it on low heat for 15 minutes.


13- Turn off the heat let the pressure cooker rest and release the pressure.


14- Mix saffron with warm milk, then open the pressure cooker. add milk and rose water, spread over rice, and cover again.


15- Leave the pressure cooker covered for 30 minutes. It is very important. The lid should not be opened so as not to break the rice grains.


Serving:

- After 30 minutes, open the lid, pour the biryani, and serve it with fresh cucumber, tomato, and pepperoni.
