It is thus a name given in the Indian continent to rice that is cooked in special ways and used in cooking with the Indian spices of biryani.


Although India is one of the most important customers of biryani on a large scale, it's far more exciting to observe that biryani isn't originated from Indian cuisine. it is a Western Asian dish where there are many local varieties of this popular dish like in South Asia and in the Middle East.


There are multiple theories about biryani origin. One theory said that the Arab spice traders introduced biryani to Indian cuisine. Another theory is that the Mughals by invading  India brought this dish to the royal kitchens of India. in all cases, Biryani is considered an addition to Indian cuisine.


The biryani rice dish, furthermore, is perhaps one of the most delicious and delicious dishes on the main dining table, especially the easy method of preparation and its wonderful useful ingredients.

What is the Chicken Biryani recipe?


What are the ingredients?


. 4 cups rice, washed

1 chicken, cut into 4 pieces

2 onions, halved

4 potatoes, cubed

1 cup vermicelli, or to taste

150 grams of almonds, or as desired

150 grams of peas, or to taste

150 grams of small raisins, currants, or as desired

2 teaspoons cloves

2 teaspoons black pepper

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 teaspoon cardamom

2 cubes of chicken broth

3 bay leaves


How to prepare the chicken biryani?


1. In a pot on the fire, fry the onions a little, add the chicken to it and fry a little, then reduce the heat and cover the pot for ten minutes, stirring occasionally, so that the onions or chicken do not burn.


2. After the chicken changes color and the fat has melted, add water to it almost as much as it covers or less, then add the broth cube and leave covered over high heat until cooked.


3. Boil the almonds, peel, then fry and set aside, fry the potatoes and set aside, then the currants and peas.


4. Fry the vermicelli a little until it turns golden, then add a little water to it and leave it on a low heat until it becomes almost soft, then set it aside as well.


5. After the chicken is cooked, drain it from the broth, then fry in plenty of oil and set aside.


6. In a saucepan, add the rice, then the boiling chicken water, in the amount that it covers.


7. Add the spices and stir with the rice, then cover the pot until the water dries up, then reduce the heat very much and leave it until it becomes tender.



Serving:

- Serve your chicken biryani as a lunch or dinner meal with some fresh vegetables like pepperoni, cucumber, and onion as you want.

The procedure of making biryani differs from one country to another. In this recipe, you can add an ingredient or delete another as you want. So, it is a flexible recipe.
